Christine Eberhard
President
Christine L. Eberhard formed CommuniQuest in May 1982. CommuniQuest specializes in dispute resolution, facilitation and mediation services to the aviation industry and in private mediation practice. Cities including Los Angeles, Fresno, Burbank, Santa Barbara and Reno have hired CommuniQuest for a variety of projects including public outreach and conflict management for master plans, FAA Part 150 and 161 studies, as well as for local issues.
She has served on several mediation panels including the Ventura County Superior Court. She also served as a mediator for Los Angeles Superior Court, the world's largest court system, when they had a mediation program.
In addition, CommuniQuest has provided consensus planning services regarding environmental, leasing and land-use issues of Fortune 500 companies including Toyota Aviation, USA, Sikorsky Aircraft, Southwest Airlines, Delta Airlines and Castle & Cooke.
Ms. Eberhard was a key consultant to the Federal Aviation Administration as part of the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. The project included developing and implementing a community involvement plan, facilitation a Steering Committee and developing and managing the community response system used prior to and during the Olympic Games.
Well-known Speaker and Instructor
Ms. Eberhard is a frequent public speaker on both community involvement and mediation issues and has published numerous articles on conflict resolution. She conducts frequent training workshops and seminars on the same subject for local, regional and national organizations. In addition, CommuniQuest has been a contractor to the Federal Aviation Administration to teach community involvement and conflict resolution to agency management and staff.
Education
A graduate of Ohio State University with a B.A. in International Studies, Ms. Eberhard received her Masters in Dispute Resolution (MDR) from Pepperdine University School of Law. Ms. Eberhard also studied sociology and Spanish at the University of the Americas in Cholula, Mexico. In addition to the MDR degree, she has taken a number of continuing education courses in negotiating, mediating and consensus planning including an M.I.T./Harvard Law School Executive course.
Military Service
A retired transportation officer in the United States Army Reserve, Ms. Eberhard’s active duty included the air freight and military air passenger operations into and out of Korea for the Army and Navy. She is also a graduate of the US Army’s Command and General Staff College.
Professional Affiliations
Ms. Eberhard served for six years as a Los Angeles County Commissioner serving on the Local Governmental Services Commission. Listed in Who’s Who in the West, Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America, as well as Who's Who of American Women, Ms. Eberhard has served on the Board of Directors of Helicopter Association International, Professional Helicopters Pilots Association, the LAX Chamber of Commerce and the Southwest Chapter of American Association of Airport Executives. Ms. Eberhard holds a private certificate, rotorcraft.
